Install

Install Proxy Agent from the Atlassian Marketplace.

Prerequisites

  • A Jira Cloud site with Jira Service Management enabled.
  • A Jira user with Jira admin (site-admin) permission, to install and configure the app globally.
  • At least one service desk project (the app is hidden on non-JSM projects).

Install steps

  1. Go to the Proxy Agent listing on the Atlassian Marketplace and click Get it now.

  2. Choose the Jira Cloud site to install into and confirm.
  3. Wait for installation to complete. Atlassian will email you when the app is ready.

  4. Open Jira, click your avatar, then System settings → Apps. Find Act as Agent Configuration in the left rail.

  5. You should see two pages under it: Settings and Audit log. If both load without error, the install is healthy.

Verifying the install on a project

  1. Open any service desk project.
  2. Open any issue.

  3. In the issue's overflow / ... menu, look for an Act as Agent action.
